Charles Franklin Rogers, 83, of Cabot entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on Friday, Jan. 19, 2018. He was born May 6, 1934, in Forest, Ind., to the late Alva M. and Geneva E. (Shoemaker) Rogers. In addition to his parents, Mr. Rogers was preceded in death by his wife, Ingeborg W. (Lenz) Rogers, a sister, Marlene Krieg and a brother, Bob Rogers. Mr. Rogers is survived by his children; Michael (Terri) Rogers, Pamela (Mark) Rainwater and Karina (Craig) Best, six grandchildren; Charity (Brian) Lamprecht, Joshua Rogers, Karina (Creighton) Moore, Jamie Rogers, Whitney Rogers and Ethan (Maya) Best, four great-grandchildren; Evan, Noah, and Lucy Lamprecht and Cale Moore and siblings; Donna Johnston, Ronnie Rogers and Joyce McCarty. He served 20 years in the USAF and retired as a MSgt. He was an instructor for 20 years at the Missionary Baptist Seminary and also worked on the school's newspaper The Searchlight. He enjoyed preaching and served as a pastor for over 20 years to churches in central Arkansas. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He was a man of faith who loved God and the Bible. He was dearly loved and he will be greatly missed. Visitation will be Tuesday, Jan. 23, 2018, from 4-6 p.m. at Moore's Cabot Funeral Home (501) 843-5816. Funeral services will be Wednesday, Jan. 24, 2018, at 10 a.m. at his church, Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church with interment immediately following at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
