Rowland Robert (Bob) Robins

Dr. Rowland Robert (Bob) Robins, 77, died Jan. 18, 2018, in Centerton. He was born in Camden, Ark., June 4, 1940, to Dr. Rowland Robins and Mae (Thompson) Robins. Rowland graduated from Camden High School in 1958. He earned a Bachelors degree in mathematics from SAU-Magnolia, a Masters degree in mathematics from University of Louisiana-Monroe and a PHD in educational psychology from the University of Houston. After retiring from USAA Corporation in Houston, Rowland moved to Holiday Island, Ark., in 2004. On Feb. 24, 2007, he married Holly Ann Hatcher. He was an avid golfer and a devoted Christian. He enjoyed Bible study and reading. He loved his pets, especially his favorite cat, Blackjack. Survived by his wife, Holly of Bentonville; two daughters, Stephanie Messionnier, Jennifer Ferris; and a son, Rowland Robins all of Texas; three sisters, Linda Luttrell of Shreveport, La., Ann Cook (Billy) of Lake Anna, Va., and Diana Germann of Cameron, Texas; three grandchildren and six nieces.
