Ruby Jewel (Lee) Phillips

Ruby Jewel (Lee) Phillips, of Springdale, Ark., passed away Jan. 17, 2018, at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale. She was 91 years old and died of natural causes. She was born Feb. 8, 1926, in Rogers, Ark., to James Riley and Flora Ellen (Meskimen) Lee. She was an excellent cook, loved to read daily and she became an extraordinary seamstress, with a passion, no doubt, fueled by a lengthy career managing Walmart's fabric department. She is preceded in death by her husband, Willie Lefate Phillips, daughters, Judith Michaels and Ailene Hagee and son, Jimmie Phillips. She is survived by one daughter, Linda Jimenez and her husband John of Anderson, Mo.; her two sons, Larry Phillips of Springdale and Charles Phillips and his wife Monte of Clarksburg, Md.; her sister, Virginia Rogers and her husband Glen of Springdale and her son-in-law, John Eldridge of Sallisaw, Okla. She has numerous grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Funeral services will be Saturday, Jan. 27, 2018, at 2 p.m. at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale with Pastor Jason Scott officiating.
