William Maurice Watson of Fordyce, died January 20, 2018, 89 years of age, at Hospice Home Care on Bowman Rd in Little Rock. He was preceded in death by his parents William Sylvester "Vester" Watson and Nomia Dunn Watson, brother Travis Watson and his sister Mary Methabel Graham. He is survived by his ever-loving wife, Marie Dorsey Watson; one son, William David Watson (and wife Terri) of Sherwood; one daughter, Nancy Carol Izard (and husband Bill) of Little Rock; and one brother, Brodey Watson (and wife Ada) of Maumelle; as well as by five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren (and two expecting). Mr. Watson graduated from Thornton High School and attended Draughon's School of Business in Little Rock. An accountant for many years, Mr. Watson decided to become a pharmacist and graduated from the Little Rock Medical Center School of Pharmacy in 1966. He moved to Fordyce to take a position as pharmacist at Dallas County Hospital and then opened his own pharmacy in May 1968. He has been retired from pharmacy for many years. He was an Army veteran and served in the Korean War. A visitation will be Wednesday, January 24th from 1 p.m. until 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Fordyce.
