Carolyn Vermell Friar

Carolyn Vermell Friar, 66, of Morrilton passed from this earth on January 22, 2018 surrounded by her family. Carolyn was born December 20, 1951 in Decatur, Ill. to the late Carroll and Juanita Jackson of Hattieville. Carolyn is survived by her daughter, Melinda Taunton, son, Homer Friar (Christina), granddaughter, Madison, two grandsons, Jonah and Caleb Friar all of Morrilton; brothers, Carey Jackson (Donna) of Sesebo, Japan and James Jackson (Danielle) of Morrilton; sisters, Tina Atkinson (Harold) of Morrilton and Angie Brown of Virginia, as well as many cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Carolyn was a homemaker and she loved to talk about her grandchildren. She spent most of her last year living at Brookridge Cove, where she made many friends and touched the hearts of the staff and residents. Carolyn was known as their "Social Butterfly". She will be loved and missed by many people and will always be remembered for her positivity and ability to never meet a stranger.
