Charles "Charlie" Wilkins, 68, of Sherwood, father, "PawPaw", brother, son, friend, and beloved husband of 44 years to the late Maudie (McGinty). Deer hunter, avid collector of model cars, pocket knives, lighters and belt buckles, member of the Central Arkansas Rods and the American Legion. He loved playing cards, spending time with family, hanging out at the car shop with other antique car enthusiasts and especially loved to travel. He was a Christian and a member of the McGintytown Church of God. Charlie was born on February 18, 1949 in Little Rock to Troy and Mattie Wilkins. He graduated from Orrick High School in Orrick, Missouri in 1968. He served as an E-3 in the US Navy during the Vietnam War aboard the USS Camden. After an honorable discharge, he followed in the footsteps of his dad and brothers, Jimmie and Troy and became a plumber. He was successful and provided well for his family for 41 years. He is survived by his three daughters, Jodi and James Alden of Austin, Kelli and Miles Johnson of Conway and Staci and Eric Whaley of Beebe, 15 grandchildren, granddaughter-in-law, great-grandson, brother, Troy Wilkins and sister, Anne Tyler, both of Maumelle and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Maudie, his parents, Troy and Mattie Wilkins, brothers, Jimmie Wilkins and infant, Jerry Wilkins and sister, Mattie Noah. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m., Wednesday, January 24, 2018 at Roller-McNutt Funeral Home in Greenbrier. Funeral service will be 1 p.m., Thursday, January 25, 2018 at McGintytown Church of God interment to follow at McGintytown Cemetery in Greenbrier.
