Mary Ella (Voelpel) Bridges, 67, of Camden, Ark. passed away on Sunday, January 21, 2018. She was born February 20, 1950, at Walter Reed Hospital in Washington D.C., to the late John Albert and Evelyn Bernice (Royston) Voelpel. She was the Director of Human Resources at Ouachita County Medical Center and a member of Camden First United Methodist Church. Mary is survived by her husband of 49 years, Burlen Bridges; son, Beau Brideges and wife Allison of Sherwood, Ark.; grandson, Chip Bridges and wife Bre'Anna of Sherwood, Ark.; granddaughter Allie Bridges of Camden, Ark.; great-granddaughter, Faryn Bridges; brother John Albert Voelper and wife Patti of Orlando, Fla.; brother, and sister-in-law, John and Alice Bridges of Lonoke, Ark.; nieces and nephews, Amy Baudet and husband Jason; Jay Voelpel; Michael Brideges and wife Katie; Michelle Bell and husband Art; great-nieces and great-nephews Cody and Zachary Baudet; Alyssa, Booke, Claire, and Grace Bridges; and dear friends Carla Purcell and Peggy Abbott. Mary loved people and worked tirelessly for the benefit of others, ensuring them by sharing her experience, strength, and hope. A memorial service will be held at First United Methodist Church on Saturday January 27, 2018 at 11 a.m. Following the service there will be a reception at the church. In lieu of flower, memorials may be made to the Ouachita County Medical Center in care of Peggy Abbott. Proctor Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
