Sandra L. Black

Sandra L. Black, 71, of North Little Rock departed this earth on January 22nd to be with her Heavenly Father. She was born in North Little Rock to parents James and Mary Black. Sandra was a longtime member of Sherwood First Baptist Church. he retired from the Arkansas State Police with 20 years of service. She was an avid collector of Barbie Dolls and a creative creator of Christmas arts and crafts A sweet and kind lady, she was funny and quick witted until her final days. Sandra loved her nieces and nephews as if they were her own and they loved her dearly. Sandra is preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Rev. Jim Black and her sister, Rita Grove. Left to celebrate her memory are nephew, James (Nancy) Grove and her nieces Cheryl (Steve) Spurlin, Christy (Jaymes) Parrish, Peggy White and nephew Donald (Wendy) Grove and many great and great-great-nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. on Friday, January 26th at Griffin Leggett Rest Hills Funeral Home with burial following at Rest Hills Memorial Park. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 6-8 p.m. on Thursday, January 25th. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
