Harvey Joe McLoud

Harvey Joe McLoud, 88, of Huntsville, died January 25, 2018 at Circle of Life Hospice in Springdale. Harvey was born October 19, 1929 in Huntsville, the son of Joseph and Laura Presley McLoud. Harvey was married to Virginia Simpson on January 1, 1953, and celebrated 65 years of marriage this year. A loving husband and father, Harvey also loved antiques, sports, and his church. He was preceded in death by his parent; one son, Tommy Joe McLoud; one brother, Hoyt McLoud; one sister, Cleo Culwell; and two nephews, Herb Cullwell and Bill McLoud. Harvey is survived by his wife, Virginia; a daughter, Pam McLoud of Huntsville; two grandsons, Joseph McLoud and Jason McLoud of Springfield, Mo.; and one daughter-in-law, Jill McLoud of Springfield, Mo. Drop-in visitation will be held at Brashears Funeral Home on Friday, January 26, 2018, from noon to 6 p.m. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Saturday, January 27, 2018, at Calvary Baptist Church with Brandon Brasel officiating. Pallbearers will be Jeff McLoud, Rick McLoud, Scott Jones, Mike Jones, Greg Simpson, and Rock Hatfield. Honorary pallbearers are Winford Phillips, Rusty Cain, Robin Walker, Ronnie Villines, and Bob Jones. Interment at Alabam Cemetery will immediately follow the service.
