Arthur L. Rhodes

Arthur L. Rhodes "Stuff", 71, of England, passed away January 23; he was born August 16, 1946 in Humphrey, to the late Joe Rhodes Jr. and Beatrice Rhodes, Arthur or "Stuff" as he was known to friends, enlisted into the United States Marine Corps serving in Vietnam. He was a member of West Macedonia Baptist Church England and Greenleaf Masonic Lodge #393. He retired in 2015 after 30 years of service to Arkansas Veterans Hospital. Arthur was preceded in death by his parents, one brother Ray Rhodes. He is survived by his wife, Jeanetta Sims Rhodes of England, two children, Demorra Rhodes of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Rosiland Rhodes of Vallejo, California; sisters Josephine Rhodes Bowden (Billy) of Jacksonville, Florida and Virginia Rhodes Taylor (Elton) of Hot Springs, Arkansas; brother Joe E. Rhodes (Joyce) of England, Arkansas; seven grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Funeral will be 11 a.m. Wednesday January 31, at Second Baptist Church England: visitation one hour prior to service at the church. Interment: Thursday, February 1, 10 a.m. at Arkansas Veterans Cemetery with Military Honors. Entrusted to: Colonial Southern Services, 216 Court Street, Carlisle, Ark. 870-552-1238.
