The Renowned Mother, National Evangelist, Loving Wife, Mother Lottie M. Walker, 91 departed this life January 27, 2018. She was preceded in death by the late Bishop L. T. Walker Sr. Mother L. Walker was a mentor to many and a philanthropist. She served the Church of God in Christ as the Jurisdictional Bishop's Wife for 43 years and as a Pastor's wife for 60 years. She was also a national Evangelist, Minister of Music, District Missionary, Regional Evangelist Elect-Lady, and a prayer warrior. She was a founding member of Walker's Temple Church of God in Christ and a radio personality for many years. She dedicated her life to the ministry of feeding the hungry and winning souls. "Ooh wee I've got a right to praise him", was her motto that she shaped her life by. Mother Walker leaves to cherish her memory: children, Superintendent L.T. (Mrs. Sandra) Walker Jr., Lydia T. Walker of Albany, Ga., Dr. Letha T. (Superintendent Gerald) Walker-Richardson, Lisa T. Walker, M. Ed., Archie (Marie) Lee Walker Jr., Minister Caleb E. (Lonnaika) Walker; siblings, Mr. Willie B. (Pauline) Jones of Pomona, CA, Issac Jones of Louisiana, Linda Madkin of Pine Bluff, Ark., and Helen Hawkins of West Memphis, Ark.; nine grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and a host of family and friends. Family Hour: Friday, 6-8 p.m. Celebration of Life: Saturday, 11 a.m., both at Holy Temple Cathedral Church of God in Christ, 1322 South Pulaski Street, LR; Bishop Jewel R. Withers Jr. officiating.
