Annie Elizabeth Isom Head, 97, of Little Rock, joined her beloved "Shug" on the 1st teebox of heaven's golf course on June 29, 2018. She was born 3/8/21 in Asheville, N.C. to Beatrice and John Thomas Isom. She was a graduate of NLRHS and married WT Head on 11/19/38. They were inseparable until his passing in 2007. Until her very recent hospital stay, she had lived independently in the home they built on West Markham, shopping and "collecting" to her heart's content. Annie was a great wife with a very spoiled husband. She was also gifted at spoiling her grandchildren, the first of whom dubbed her NunNuh, and the nickname became permanent. At midlife she discovered golf and quickly became a championship-flight golfer, deadly with her Bullseye putter. She played golf regularly until almost 90, when she put way her sticks and spent her time "going through" all the stacks & sacks of "treasures" she had accumulated through the years. She is preceded in death by her husband, WT Head, her parents, and five of her siblings, Thomas Isom, Callie Lemmer, Ruth Misner, Georgie Wilson, and Bill Isom. She is survived by her children and their spouses, Ann & Gary Solomon of San Francisco, Calif. and Tom & Anne Head of Hot Springs; her grandchildren, Robert Eardley (Holly) of Naples, Fla., Elizabeth Eardley Park of Lexington KY, Keith Eardley (Polly) of Georgetown, Ky., Julie Eardley Sereno (Chad) of Bel Air, Md., Laura Head Sheredy (Kevin) of Cabot, and Thomas Anney (Monica) of Olympia, Wash.; her great-grandchildren, Katherine Story (Matt), David, John (Victoria), Margaret & Bethany Eardley, Thomas & Anna Sereno, Alexander Sheredy and Robin Anney. She is also survived by her brother, Joe Isom (Winnie) and many nieces & nephews, who called her "Aunt Sis." We will all miss her quirky ways & spunky spirit, and will cherish the special memories within each of us. Visitation will be Friday, July 6 at Griffin Leggett at 5800 W. 12th St. at 11 a.m., service at noon & burial at Roselawn Cemetery immediately thereafter. Please do dress comfortably and casually in this Arkansas heat! In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you consider a donation in Annie's name to The First Tee of Little Rock. www.griffinleggetthealeyroth.com.
