Herman Edward Lee Jr., 86, of Batesville passed away on Wednesday, July 4, 2018. He was born in McCrory, Arkansas to the late Herman and Della (Mitchen) Lee on November 16, 1931. Herman was selected as the most handsome man at North Little Rock High School his senior year in 1950. He was an avid sailor, a lover of Glenlivet, and Korean War veteran stationed in Niigata, Japan. He was a fair man who kept even amounts of change in his pockets for each of his beloved grandchildren. He is survived by his loving wife, Miriam Lee; one son, Douglas Lee (Jan) of Batesville; one daughter, Rhomie King (David) of Conway; one sister, Dawn Wallace of Fair Oaks, California; one sister-in-law, Reba Yow of Heber Springs; two grandchildren, Caitlin (Ben) Thrash and Ethan (Casey) King, both of Conway; long-time friend, Irv Daniel of North Little Rock, and a host of other relatives and friends. Herman is preceded in death by his parents and two brother-in-laws, Gary Yow and Bryson Wallace. Pallbearers will be Ethan King, Ben Thrash, Irv Daniel, Kevin Daniel, Marc Daniel, Gerald Campbell, and Tony Anderson. Graveside services will be held at Pinecrest Memorial Gardens at 10 a.m. on Monday, July 9, 2018. A visitation will be held at the funeral home from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m. on Sunday, July 8, 2018.
