Suanna Jeanette Flake Davis, age 80, of Little Rock, Arkansas died Thursday, July 5, 2018 at CHI St. Vincent. Suanna was born in Conway, Arkansas on January 22, 1938, the daughter of Anthony William and Dimple Evans Flake. She received Bachelor of Science and Master of Education degrees from the University of Arkansas. Her musical talent afforded her many opportunities, including operatic appearances in the Kansas City Lyric Opera and the Arkansas State Opera, as well as performances at the Kansas City Starlight Theatre and the Joplin, Missouri Symphony, the Arkansas Symphony and the Kansas City Civic Orchestra. She sang soprano in the choir at First Presbyterian Church of Little Rock, where she was a long-time member. Suanna taught music in the Little Rock and Pulaski County School districts for many years and served on the faculty of the University of Central Arkansas. Suanna is preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her husband of 39 years, Franklin "Vern" Davis; daughter, Jennifer Burnau of Pittsburgh; stepdaughter, Lisa Hill of Arkadelphia; cousin and "little sister" Margaret Alice Shook and her daughter, Ann Marie Mohrmann of Little Rock; and cherished friend, Barbara Ramoly of Little Rock. A memorial service will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday, July 10, 2018 at First Presbyterian Church of Little Rock with Reverend Stephen Moody officiating. A graveside service will follow at 2 p.m. at Pleasant Valley Cemetery in Wooster, Arkansas. Memorials may be may be given to First Presbyterian Church of Little Rock.
