Robert Wayne Moon

Robert Wayne Moon, was born on January 21, 1931, son of James Madison Moon and Effie Jane (Baker) Moon. He passed away peacefully in his home on Friday, June 29,2018 at 87 years of age. He served in the United States army 1951 until 1953 during the Korean War. He was a skilled carpenter throughout his lifetime. He attended Beaver Lake Baptist Church for forty-five plus years. He loved playing his guitar and singing. On March 27, 1954 he was united in marriage to June Sybleleen (Harley) Moon who survives him. He is survived by his sons, Jerry Moon and wife Debbie, Alan Moon and wife Patty; daughters, Joy Amann and husband Butch, Jane Foster, Paula Moon; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; sisters, Wanda Sellars, Joyce Catron, Erma Helms and her husband Bob, Bonnie Sheppard; numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; his brother Paul Moon; his sisters Edith Pollock, Carolyn Mahurin, Becky Skidmore and Mildred Kavanagh. Visitation was Monday, July 2, 2018 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at the Nelson's Chapel of the Springs in Eureka Springs. Funeral service was 10 a.m. Tuesday, July 3, 2018 at the Beaver Lake Baptist Church in Eureka Springs, with Pastor Mike Mercer officiating. Interment will follow at the Reddick Cemetery under the direction of Nelson Funeral Service.
