Bo Glenn Givens, 83, of Altheimer, Arkansas, went to be with the Lord on July 13, 2018. He was a retired building contractor, farmer and owner of Givens Construction Company of Altheimer. He was the founder of Givens Hunting Club of Wabbaseka (Long Bell Road) and was an avid racoon hunter and raised and hunted some of the best dogs in the state. He was a Baptist and will be greatly missed. He was born May 15, 1935, in Wabbaseka, to George Polk and Florence Mae Givens. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Stephanie Newman; his parents and brothers, Earl, W. B., Milton, Norman Givens; sisters, Mattie Brewer and Sybil Lee. Survivors include his wife of 62 years, Lorene Givens, whom he married December 10, 1955, in Greenville, Mississippi; sons, Chuck (Cheryl) Givens of Altheimer, Scott (Pam) Givens of East End; daughter, Elizabeth (Gene) Kelley of Hot Springs; grandchildren, Amanda (Amber) Givens, Taylor (Megan) Givens, Tiffany (Justin) Shackleford, Josh (Emily) Newman, Cory Givens and a host of bonus great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews. Visitation will be Monday, July 16, 2018, 6 to 8 PM at Ralph Robinson & Son. Funeral service will be Tuesday, July 17, 2018, at 1 PM, Chapel of Ralph Robinson with Reverend Jimmy Herring, Jr. officiating. Burial will follow in Flat Bayou Cemetery.
