Franklin E. Lunsford

Franklin E. "Churn" Lunsford, age 82, of Amity, Arkansas passed away on Tuesday, July 17, 2018. Franklin was born on May 13, 1936 in Roland, Arkansas to his late parents, Arthur and Mae Redmon Lunsford. Franklin was an elevator mechanic in Central Arkansas for more than 30 years and a member of Oak Grove Church in Amity. In addition, he was an avid animal lover and a Veteran of the United States Army. Survivors include his wife of 50 years, Shyral Lunsford; one son, Raymond Lunsford (Stacy) of Amity, Ark.; two daughters, Geni Jackson of Princeton, Illinois and Christy Vocque (Alan) of Bauxite, Ark.; 14 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents; one son, Michael Lunsford; three grandsons, Rodney Jackson II, Kevin Lunsford and Matthew Lunsford; two brothers, A.J. Lunsford and Utah Lunsford. A visitation will be from 6–8 p.m. on Thursday, July 19, 2018 at Roller Chenal Funeral Home, 13801 Chenal Parkway, Little Rock, Arkansas (501) 224-8300. Graveside services will be 10 a.m. Friday, July 20, 2018 at Kennerly Cemetery in Roland, Arkansas with Pastor Kevin Moss officiating.
