Margaret Anne Moore Jordan

Margaret Anne Moore Jordan, 96, currently of North Little Rock, Arkansas but previously of Dallas, Texas died July 17, 2018. She was born to the late Stephen and Stella Moore, October 7, 1921 in Dallas, Texas, growing up on a small farm at the edge of the SMU Campus. Margaret Anne graduated from Highland Park High School in 1938 and graduated Phi Beta Kappa with a BA in English from Southern Methodist University in 1941. She married Capt. Max Clifton Jordan on March 15, 1943 and they lived together in Dallas, Texas for many years before relocating to North Little Rock, Ark. in 2009. Max passed away on June 19th, 2013 and awaits Margaret Anne. Margaret Anne was active in church life at Lovers Lane Methodist Church. She was an active member of Sparkman Club, Brookhaven Country Club, numerous Bridge and Book Clubs, all in Dallas. She was always active in PTA, scouting and the sports activities of her children. She loved to spend time with others, keep track of nieces and nephews and tend to her many aunts and uncles. Margaret Anne enjoyed traveling with Max to a great many places. Margaret Anne is survived by three children: Susan Eanes (Tommy) of North Little Rock, Arkansas; Robert Jordan (Julie) of Mesquite, Texas and Bruce Jordan (Sandy) of Lafayette, Louisiana. She is also survived by six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren (and one on the way). Margaret Anne outlived her beloved brother, Halcuit Moore and three sisters, Mary Elizabeth Moore, Martha Pierce and Evelyn McDonald. Special thanks to the family of Susan and Tommy Eanes, John and Jill Eanes and Stephen and Liz Eanes and Pam Hairston, Sonya Bailey, and Premiere Health and Rehab of North Little Rock, Baptist Hospice in North little Rock and a host of others who made the final years not necessarily pleasant but bearable. A graveside service will be held on Monday, July 23, at 10 a.m. at the gazebo by the Mausoleum at Griffith-Leggett Rest Hill Cemetery, conducted by Rev. Hazel Clark.
