MINNIE OLA WOLF BRIDGES, 94, of Little Rock, Ark. (formerly of White Hall, Ark.), died peacefully in her sleep July 19, 2018. Minnie was born in Altheimer, Ark., on May 18, 1924, the daughter of Elias Simon Wolf and Jettie Lela Turner. Minnie grew up in several towns in Arkansas, and graduated from Fuller High School, in Pulaski County. Minnie is preceded in death by her parents, Elias Simon Wolf and Jettie Lela Turner, her devoted and loving husband of 68 years, Tilden Oney Bridges of White Hall, as well as her brothers, Woodrow Wolf, Elias Wolf, Joseph Wolf, and Raymond Wolf. She is survived by her daughter, Reverend Dr. Linda Brown (Leigh Cole) of Roland, and one grandson and family, Kuhl T. Brown, III (Amy Boom), of Denver, Colo., and two precious great-grandsons, Nelson and Sidney. Tilden and Minnie met at Sunday night church socials when Mom was a senior in high school. While Dad was in the Air Force during World War II, stationed at March Field, in California, they married in April, 1945 in Riverside, Calif. During the war, Minnie served her country also by working in the Jacksonville Ordinance Plant and the Pine Bluff Arsenal. Minnie was a school cafeteria supervisor for Dollarway Public School District, Pine Bluff, Ark., for 28 years. She was a member of Central Baptist Church, Pine Bluff, for 61 years. She was an active member of their Senior Ministry Club for many years (SAM's Club). Tilden and Minnie travelled extensively in retirement with the Razorback Airstream Club as well as served as officers in the club after joining in 1974. After Tilden's death, Brookdale Chenal, in Little Rock, became her home. For five years, the staff and residents provided companionship and ‘family'. Her daughter described her as the ‘poster child for assisted living'. She greeted all new residents with a smile and a helping hand. During the last month of her life, Minnie was blessed with wonderful, loving attention from Hospice of Baptist Health, First Choice Senior Care, and the Brookdale Assisted Living staff. She was also ministered to by the clergy, lay ministers and others from Central Baptist Church, St. Peter's Episcopal Church, Conway, and Trinity Episcopal Cathedral, Little Rock. Her family is eternally grateful for the attention and genuine care given to Minnie. Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 25, 2018, 11 a.m., at Central Baptist Church in Pine Bluff with Rev.
