Darrell R. Rowland

Darrell R. Rowland, 93, a WWII veteran, went to meet his heavenly Father, on Saturday, July 21, 2018. He was born on March 9, 1925, in Washita, Ark., to the late Lum W. and Viva Montgomery Rowland. Darrell is survived by four daughters, Kathern Slaten, TeeJay Rowland-Townsend, Linda Dyson (Charlie) and Louise Carlisle (Jerry); nine grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 68 years, Mary Craft Rowland; sister, Elouise Elston; brothers, Howard Rowland and Everett Rowland. His family wants to extend a special thank you to the Little Rock VA, especially the palliative care team there. Visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 24, 2018 at Smith North Little Rock Funeral Home, 1921 Main Street. Visitation at 5 p.m. Wednesday, July 25, 2018, followed by funeral service at 6 p.m. at First Pentecostal Church, North Little Rock.
