Jackie Winn

Jackie Winn passed away on July 22, 2018, she was 65 years old. She is survived by her husband, Mike Winn; brothers, Doug and Kevin Shukers and her son , Jeremy and Kendal Canada and grandson Keaton Canada. Jackie died from complications from COPD and heart problems. She attended school in DeQueen, Ark. and was awarded most beautiful girl attending DeQueen school 40 years ago this year, and was also the rodeo queen at the Rodeo in DeQueen, Arkansas. Jackie loved horses and rode as long as she was able. Her husband Mike Winn and Jackie still own a variety of horses, mini horses and miniature donkey's as well as three Scottie dogs. She always kept in touch with her friends she went to school with in DeQueen and attended reunions for that school. She loved lake Ouachita and would go there on weekends or vacation whenever possible. Jackie also loved going to visit her sons family in Poteau, Oklahoma, until here health made it too hard to make the trip. Her father was a country doctor and moved from town to town where ever he was needed. Jackie loved animals and wanted to become a Veterinarian, but life got in the way and never was able to realize her dream. She also loved archaeology and history, collected rocks as a remembrance token from everywhere she visited. She graduated from the police academy and became a deputy at DeQueen until she married Mike Winn and moved to Little Rock, Arkansas. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at Ruebel Funeral Home at 6313 West Markham St., Little Rock, Arkansas 72205. A Graveside Service will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, July 26, 2018 at Roselawn Memorial Park Cemetery in Little Rock.
