Beverly Joy Walker

Beverly Joy Walker, 81, of Springdale, Arkansas went to be with the Lord July 13, 2018. She was born December 20, 1936 in Washington, Iowa, the daughter of the late Lyle C. and Sadie (Schnell) Wilson. She attended St. Raphael's Catholic Church in Springdale and St. Joseph's Catholic Church in Tontitown. Bev was a beloved member of the Northwest Arkansas community since 1974 and worked in food service until finding her calling transporting patients for the Northwest Arkansas Radiation Institute (NARTI) for 22 years. Her patients were her friends, and there was nothing that she wouldn't do to make their lives easier, whether it was stopping to get a few groceries or just ice cream. She never met a stranger and loved to tell a good story and visit. She loved her family and especially enjoyed her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She loved to travel and spend time with her friends and family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Gale Walker; sister, Carol Wilson; brother-in-law, Ted Beecroft; and grandson, Dustin Whittle. She is survived by three daughters, Julie McLoud (Jeff) of Huntsville, Arkansas, Kimberli Wyckoff (Mark) of West Fork, Arkansas, Marsha Eklund (Ken) of Helena, Montana; two sisters, Nancy Nollen (Stan) of Washington, D.C. and Donna Beecroft of Fridley, Minnesota; and one brother Dean Wilson (Linda) of Washington, Iowa; and seven grandchildren, Rob Whittle, Stephen Whittle (Sarah), Scott Whittle (Shirley), Damien Eklund, Heath Eklund (Kayla), Megan Eklund, Patrick Wyckoff and nine great-grandchildren. Memorial Service will be Saturday, July 28, 2018 at 10 a.m. in the Chapel of Memorial Funeral Home, 3926 Willowood Avenue, Springdale, Arkansas 72762 with Father Chittem Rajasekhar officiating. Interment will be in the Fayetteville National Cemetery in Fayetteville, Arkansas.
