Cora Lee Shoemaker

Cora Lee Shoemaker, 77, of Fayetteville, Arkansas, passed away July 19, 2018. She was born September 23, 1940 in Fayetteville, Arkansas to Claude and Thelma (Boyd) Comer. Cora was a loving, caring wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who touched countless hearts with her warmth and love; she will be very deeply missed. She loved her heavenly father, Jehovah, and was a faithful servant her entire life. As one of Jehovah's Witnesses, she taught her children, grandchildren, and many others about life and spiritual things, and relished the bible's promise of a future resurrection and a paradise earth when pain and death will be no more (Revelation 21:3, 4, Psalms 37:10-11, 29, Acts 24:15, Isaiah 26:19). Her family eagerly looks forward to seeing her again soon when she will be young and healthy again. Cora was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, George and Roscoe; and one sister, Wanda. She is survived by her husband, Wayne Shoemaker, of the home, whom she married on June 29, 1957; five children: Rebecca Sanford, Janie Parker, Mark Shoemaker, Kelly Davis, and Kimberly Shoemaker; 16 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; and many friends and loved ones too numerous to mention. A memorial service will be held Saturday, July 28, 2018 at 2 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 2837 N. Old Wire Road, Fayetteville, Arkansas 72703. Arrangements are by Westfield Chapel Funeral Home in Springdale, Ark.. Condolences, memorials, and memories: www.westfieldchapel.com.
