Mary Lynne King Boyer

Mary Lynne King Boyer of Baton Rouge, Louisiana left the bonds of this earth for heaven Tuesday July 10, 2018. She was 66 years old. Her caring husband, Mark Boyer, was by her side. It was their 36th wedding anniversary. Born May 27, 1952 in Mineral Wells, Texas to Raymond and Yvonne (McInturff) King, Lynne grew up the oldest, and as she loved to add, the wisest, of seven children. She briefly attended Asbury College in Wilmore, Kentucky, but returned home after the sudden death of her parents to care for her younger siblings. Lynne credited her heavenly Father for continuing to guide, bless and heal from this marked event in their lives. In 1971 Lynne married Larry Knott. Together they had one son, Telly Jon. She later married Mark Boyer on July 10, 1982 in an outdoor wedding at the King home in Hesston, Kansas. Lynne created welcoming homes in Okinawa, Japan; Lexington, Kentucky; Fayetteville, Arkansas; and Baton Rouge, Louisiana. Her love of travel is represented in her international charm bracelet. Lynne's clever wit and joy were evident to all. She was creative, loyal and full of faith. Church involvement was always important. She was a loving mother and a dear friend to many, practicing hospitality without pretension. She wholeheartedly loved people. Her genuine positive attitude and outlook in spite of all that she endured inspired many. Lynne is loved and survived by her husband Mark, her son, Telly Jon Knott, her grandchildren, Mathew, Andrew, Abby, Caleb and Joshua, her siblings, Gary King, Terri Brooks, Lori Long, Lisa Muthiah, Juli Elliot and Dina Horne, her 29 nieces and nephews and her 33 great-nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Raymond and Yvonne (McInturff) King. Memorial Service: Saturday, August 4 in Fayetteville, Ark.: Fayetteville location of Fellowship Bible Church, 3447 AR-112. Visitation 10-11 a.m., Service 11-12 noon, light lunch following Officiated by Pastor Gary Harrell. In lieu of flowers, the family encourages memorials in her honor to the Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, Breast Cancer Society, or Kidney Foundation.
