Betty Earlene Bond

Betty Earlene Bond, 75 year old resident of Cave Springs, Arkansas, died on July 27, 2018 at Mercy Medical Center in Rogers, Arkansas. Betty was born on December 17, 1942 in Springdale, Arkansas. She was the daughter of Curtis Marshall Austin and Lena Mae Dodd Austin. Betty graduated from Bentonville High School in 1960. She married Donald Bond on August 22, 1960 in Elm Springs, Arkansas. Betty worked in logistics for Walmart in their traffic department, where they named a system after her called Backhaul Betty. Betty worked at Walmart from October 1974 until retiring in January 1995. She came out of retirement in April of 1996 and worked for Walmart until May of 2013. She was a member of Elm Springs Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, and one sister, Brenda Ericson. She is survived by her husband, Donald Bond; daughter, Laura Lynn Moore of Centerton, Arkansas; son, Lance Bond and wife Lori of Cave Springs; six grandchildren: Kyan Bond, Kory Moore, Kody Moore, Kaylee Brown, Logan Stidham, and Leilani Bond; and six great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2 p.m., Monday, July 30, 2018 at Elm Springs Methodist Church with Chaplain Audie Long officiating. Burial will follow at Elm Springs Cemetery.
