Robert D. Fowler, Sr.

ROBERT D. FOWLER, SR., 85, of Sherwood passed away Friday, July 27th. He was born in Cedar Falls Township, Arkansas to parents Robert R. and Vilah Fowler. Robert was a member of the North Little Rock Missionary Baptist Church, where he began leading singing at the age of 14 and carried his love of singing throughout his lifetime. Robert served his country in the United States Army for 23 years, including the Korean and Vietnam wars. He was married to Virginia Walker Fowler for 39 happy years. They sold Avon Products together for many years after Robert retired from the Army. They lived in San Antonio until 1991, when they moved to the Sherwood area. Robert is preceded in death by his parents. Left to cherish his memory is his wife, Virginia; son, Robert D. Fowler, Jr. and his wife, Lisa; daughters Roberta (Robbie) Townsend and Rebecca Fowler; step children, C.J., Travis, Isabella and Victoria; grandson, Joshua Matthew Fowler; brother, Carl D. Fowler and his sister, Laura Birchett. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 30th at 2:00 pm at Rest Hills Funeral Home, 7724 Landers Rd., North Little Rock with visitation beginning one hour prior to the service.
