Isaberry Bertha Stahl

Isaberry Bertha LeGrand Stahl; September 3, 1918 to May 25, 2018. Born September 03, 1918 in Okmulgee, Oklahoma to Marcel A. and Stella LeGrand, she was raised in Oklahoma and Louisiana, and attended Byrd High School in Shreveport, Louisiana. She married Melvin O. Stahl in 1936, in Shreveport, Louisiana, they were married for 45 years until his passing in 1982. She lived in Pine Bluff, Arkansas from 1936 until 1995. Isaberry worked at Ben Pearson and the Admiral Benbow Inn in Pine Bluff for many years, until she retired. After retiring, she started art lessons, and became a member of the Little Fire House in Pine Bluff. She attended various shows with her paintings and won many ribbons. She was a longtime member of the Church of Christ at 40th & Hazel Street in Pine Bluff. She was preceded in death by her parents, Marcel A. LeGrand, and Stella LeGrand; her husband, Melvin O. Stahl; her sister, Adlove Morgan; her brother, Marcel P. Legrand; and her daughter, Adlove Leona (Lee) Stahl Compton. Isaberry is survived by her sister, Theresa Howell; two grandsons, Jay and Michael (Lisa) Compton; five great-grandchildren, Shanley Brasher, Jessica Bahl, Collin, John, and Mallory Compton; one great-great- granddaughter, Evelyn Brasher. Visitation will be held Saturday, June 2, 2018, beginning at 1 p.m. at Ralph Robinson & Son, 807 S. Cherry St., Pine Bluff, Arkansas, 71601. The funeral service will follow at 2 p.m. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, 6707 Dollarway Road., White Hall, Arkansas, 71602. Pallbearers will include: Michael Compton, John Compton, Jay Compton, and Collin Compton. Honorary pallbearers will include: Wesley Pipkins, Douglas Stahl, and Grady "Smokey" Howell.
