Barbara Marie Livesay

Barbara Marie Eoff Livesay, 88, of Des Arc passed away June 1, 2018 after a valiant battle with Lymphoma. Bobby, as she was affectionately known by all, was born February 1, 1930 to Marie S. and Earl C. Eoff in the Abbington community west of Des Arc. She was a 1947 graduate of Des Arc High School and had the distinction of being the only graduate to attend all annual Des Arc Alumni Association Banquets since the first in 1956 until her last attendance in November 2017. Bobby married her high school sweetheart Tom Ed Livesay on June 18, 1948. They made their home in Des Arc where they worked with her Dad in the sawmill business and later started their own farming operation raising soybeans and rice. She was a lifelong member of the First United Methodist Church where she was member of the Sunshine Fellowship Sunday School class and the United Methodist Women. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. She was preceded in death by her parents, her step-mother Louise R. Eoff and her husband of 58 years Tom Ed Livesay. She is survived by her son Michael Lynn (Rhonda) Livesay and her daughter Patti Lea (Ritchie) Crow. Grandchildren left to cherish her memory are Thomas Brian Livesay, Michelle Marie (Cyle) Harris, Eric Crow, Kimberly Kaffka, Aleshia (James) Shurley, Megan (Aaron) Cain, Michael John (Heather) Livesay and great-grandchildren Caroline and Walker Harris, Cambry Crow, Carson Kaffka, Weston and Layton Cain, Fletcher Livesay, Ayden, Archer, and Ashton Shurley. She is also survived by step-sister Mary Anne (Al) Williams, and step-brother Jim (Alicia) Karam sisters-in-law Martha Stallings, Patsy Harvey and Lucille Traylor along with many cousins, nieces, and nephews. A special cousin Sharon S. Morton has been a wonderful caregiver to Bobbie in the last few months, and her devotion is much appreciated. Visitation will be held at Garth Funeral Home on Sunday, June 3 from 5:00 to 7:00 pm. Funeral services will be held at the First United Methodist Church on Monday, June 4 at 10:00 am with burial to follow at Lakeside Cemetery. Brother Jaimie J. Alexander and Rev. Dr. Naomi Rogers will officiate. Pallbearers will be Brian Livesay, Eric Crow, M.J. Livesay, Don Harvey, Ray Harvey, Kevin Harvey, Tarry Stallings, and Jimmy Stallings and Honorary Pallbearers are Mike Skarda and Butch Calhoun.
