Helen Delores Vardaman

Helen Delores Vardaman, 80 of Benton, went to be with the Lord on June 1, 2018. She was born on July 16, 1937 in Goshen Springs, Mississippi, to the late Albert and Fannie Robinson Goodson. Helen grew up in Mississippi, loving the southern way of life and passing on her love of music. She taught her children to play the guitar and they in turn have passed this talent on to many others over the years. Helen loved her family, cooking and raising five children in the Mississippi way of life. She was a member of First Baptist Church in Bryant. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Harold Ray Vardaman, five brothers and three sisters. Helen leaves behind to cherish her memory, sons, Harold Glenn (Linda) Vardaman, Gregg Vardaman, Barry (Becky) Vardaman, Tal (Cindy) Vardaman, daughter, Tammy (Doug) Cook, sisters, Marie Sharp and Ruby Merle Moore, grandchildren, Amanda, Matt, Lars, Jared, Rachel, Sammy, Steven, Lora and James; fourteen great grandchildren. Visitation will be held at Ashbys, Monday, June 4, 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Graveside services will be held on Tuesday, June 5 at 1:00 p.m. at Leland-Stoneville Cemetery in Leland, Mississippi with Bro.
