Louise Sumner, age 97, of Rogers, passed away peacefully June 1st at Circle of Life Hospice in Bentonville. She was born December 6, 1920 in Springdale, Arkansas. She was the youngest of eight children born to Harry Ware and Stella Williams Ware. She was a graduate of Vaughn High School. Louise never met a stranger. She loved to travel, was active in the Democrat Club, VFW and UMW. She was a charter member of the First United Methodist Church in Rogers and a devoted Razorback fan. She served her country as the wife of a WWII Veteran, married June 14, 1941. She was the steadfast, sometimes bossy matriarch of a large, loving family. She touched the lives of countless other families as she ran her own home daycare in Huntsville, then in Rogers until her retirement. She was preceded in death by her husband J.B. Sumner, her son J.W. Sumner, four brothers, three sisters, a grandchild and a great-grandchild. She is survived by her daughter, Judy Lee and her husband Charles Lee of Pea Ridge, her son, J.E. Sumner and his wife Sheila Sumner of Arizona, six grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. The service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday June 8, 2018 at the First United Methodist Church, 307 W. Elm St. in Rogers, Arkansas. Visitation will be just prior to the service from 10:30 to 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the First United Methodist Church, 307 W.
