Olar Fay Mattingly, 80, of Broken Arrow, Okla., formerly of Jacksonville passed from this life on June 7, 2018 at Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa. She was born April 2, 1938 in Winston County, Ala. to the late Luther R. and Lilly P. Tidwell Miles. Fay was a founding member of McArthur Assembly of God Church. She enjoyed quilting, fishing, word search puzzles, remodeling homes, working in her flower garden, and reading; but found her greatest joy in her family. She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty years, Robert R. Mattingly Sr.; siblings, James, Dick, Dee, and Millard Miles. Survivors include children, Janet (Eric) Stith of Broken Arrow, Okla., Robert R. (Gayle) Mattingly Jr. of Aurora, Mo., Luther R. (Sherri) Mattingly of North Little Rock; grand children Sarah Allan) Benson, Dylan J. Mattingly, Kayla (Adam) Smoot, Matthew Mattingly, Ashlee (Jonathan) Mizer, Kaitlyn (Michael) Palmquist, Cameron Stith, Shelby Stith, Brandy (Tom) Mattox, Bradley (Misti) Stith. Other survivors include siblings, Oscar (Carolyn) Miles of Haleyville, Ala., Howard (Juanita) Miles of Haleyville, Ala., Helen King of Cabot and Mary Ann (Ricky) Miles of Haleyville, Ala.; several great-grandchildren; and a host of extended family and friends. Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Monday, June 11, 2018 at McArthur Assembly of God Church with Pastor Marc Bateman officiating. Interment will follow at Chapel Hill Memorial Park.
