James White

James White, 75, of Jacksonville passed from this life on June 17, 2018. He was born May 20, 1943 in Little Rock, Arkansas to the late Scott and Lurline Shelby White. James enjoyed collecting antique glassware and cars. He had a great love for animals, adopting and rescuing several. James was a member of First Baptist Church in Cabot, a 1961 graduate of Jacksonville High School, and proudly served his country in the United States Army Reserve. He was a loving husband, pop and poppy. Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Anita White; children, Derek (Debbie) White of Mountain View, Damon (Patty) White of Tulsa, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Isabella White, James Patrick White. Other survivors include a host of loving friends. Funeral services are 2 p.m., Thursday, June 21, 2018 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home.
