Charolette Sue Allison, age 74, of Arkadelphia passed from this life on Thursday, June 28, 2018, at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock. She was born August 9, 1943, in Arkadelphia, the daughter of the late Walter and Margie Burrow Manning. Charolette was a member of Second Baptist Church. She attended Ouachita Baptist University where she was later employed and served as the Executive Secretary to six University Presidents. Charolette enjoyed gardening, cooking, and spending time with family and friend. She is preceded in death by her parents, one son, Andy Blake Allison and her sister-in-law, Beverly Manning. Charolette is survived by her husband Wade Allison of Arkadelphia, two daughters, Cynthia (Todd) Turnbow of Arkadelphia, Keri (Jason) Burkman of Arkadelphia, nine grandchildren, Haley, Hannah and Heidi Green, Bret-Allison and Andrew McDill of Arkadelphia, Blake, Baylor, Brielle and Matthew Burkman of Piggott, two great-grandchildren, Boston Orsburn and Marleigh Green, two brothers, Dub (Zenell) Manning of Pine Bluff, Buddy Manning of Arkadelphia and one sister Shirley (Ronnie) McMillan of Arkadelphia and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Monday, July 2, 2018 at Second Baptist Church in Arkadelphia with Dr. Rex Horne and Louie Heard officiating. Visitation will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday at Second Baptist Church. Interment will be in Richwoods Cemetery. Pallbearers are Donnie, Johnny, Timmy and Larry Manning, Scott and Corey McMillan. Memorials may be made to the Andy Allison Scholarship Fund through Southern Bancorp Bank or Richwoods Cemetery Fund. Final arrangements are entrusted to The Welch Funeral Home of Arkadelphia.
