Bernice Marie Johnson, 85, of Little Rock, Ark. passes away Sunday February 25th 2018. Born November 20, 1932 to her parents Maud Belle Matkin and Archie Brown Sr. in Warren, Ark. Bernice was the 2nd oldest of 5 children. Mrs. Bernice Johnson was a Master Gardener and lifetime member of the National Herb Society of Pulaski County. She was known as the "Herb" lady, was a past board member of the (WNA). Had made several of her own cookbooks from her personal recipes that she shared with family and close friends, Everyone that knew her, knew her fantastic cooking, she loved to share it and you always wanted seconds. She spent her days tending her personal "Herb" garden. She was active in her neighborhood Untied Methodist Church. Mrs. Johnson was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, James Tommy Johnson, three sisters and one brother and her daughter, Cynthia Lynn McCarty Johnson. Mrs. Johnson is survived by two sons, James Clark Johnson and Ronald Paul Johnson, daughter-in-law, Scherrie Johnson and grandchildren, Daniel Johnson, Keely Johnson, Hannah Harrison, Carrie Ridgeway, Mikki Garalde and Tracee Morrow, four great-grandchildren, Zack and Samantha Boyette and Nicholas and Lauren Morrow. She will be greatly missed. Service to be held at Western Hills Untied Methodist Church in Little Rock, Ark. ,4601 Western Hills Avenue at 12:30 p.m. Saturday March 3rd. Small gathering after church service. Wilson Robison Funeral Home in charge of the arrangements.
