Juanita Rorie Tilton, age 93, passed away on Tuesday, February 27, 2018. She was born on July 3, 1924, in Flippin, Arkansas, to Oscar and Ical Jefferson Rorie. She was preceded in death by her loving husband, William Tilton; her four brothers; and one sister. Juanita was a long time member of First Baptist Church in Fayetteville. Quilting was one of her favorite past times and she was also a member of the quilt club. She participated in the Home Extension Club while residing in Lead Hill, Arkansas. She and William enjoyed a long retirement together. She loved cooking and canning, but most of all, she loved her family. She is survived by her son, Jerry Tilton and wife Joy of Rogers; her two granddaughters, Stephanie Homeier and husband Ken, and Amy Strayhorn; two sisters, Joyce Redden of Hackett, Arkansas, and Nadine Young of Huntsville, Alabama; her three great-grandsons, Jackson Athey, Gavin Homeier, and Ewan Garrison; one great-great-granddaughter, Skylar Athey; and numerous nieces and nephews. A visitation will be held from 10–11 a.m. on Friday, March 2, 2018, with a funeral service to follow at 11 a.m. at First Baptist Church at 20 E Dickson Street, Fayetteville, Arkansas 72701.
