Lois Marie Williams Newman

Lois Marie Williams Newman passed away Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at the age of 97 years at Circle of Life Hospice. Born on September 5, 1920 to Cleveland and Myrtle Williams in Oletha, Texas. She moved to Borger, Texas in 1938. She married Cliff Newman on December 5, 1940 and they were married 52 years. Cliff and Lois moved to Springdale, Arkansas in 1951. Lois spent many years working in the meat market for Harps Food Store. Lois was saved and baptized as a young girl in Texas. She loved the lord and was active in First Baptist Church. Lois was preceded in death by her Husband, Cliff Newman and her brother C.C.Ball. She is survived by her Daughter Gloria Fields and Son-in-Law Jim Fields of Springdale. Two grandchildren, Jimmy Fields and wife Michele Fields of Springdale. Tracy Carpenter and husband Tad Carpenter of Weatherford, Texas. Great Grandchildren Brianna Fields, Rene' Smith and Husband Jaret Smith, Clay Carpenter, Cord Carpenter. And her pride and joy, great-great-grandson, Noah Smith. Funeral services will be Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Sisco Funeral Chapel of Springdale with Pastor Johnny Harp officiating. Burial will follow in Bluff Cemetery. Visitation will be Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
