Michael Lynn Salkeld

MICHAEL LYNN SALKELD, 55, of Sherwood, Ark., departed this life and went to his heavenly home on March 1, 2018 due to diabetic complications. He was born March 26, 1962 in North Little Rock, Ark., to Wilmer and Maxine Salkeld. Michael graduated from Ole Main High School in 1980 and from Henderson State University in 1984 with a Bachelor of Music Education and was a member of Graves Memorial Baptist Church. Mike's passions in life were teaching and singing for his Lord. He was on staff at several Baptist churches in Pulaski County over the last 30+ years. Michael loved to sing and he did it very well. He was preceded in death by his parents and his grandparents; Claud and Avis Gore and Elda Lynn and Edna Salkeld. Michael is survived by his wife, Vicky Lane Salkeld; his daughter, Stephanie Jeffers and her husband Michael; his granddaughters, Jordan and Whitney Jeffers; his sister, Pamela Salkeld; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. A special thanks to Dr. Jay Holland for over 25 years of extraordinary care. A Celebration of his life will be held 11:00 a.m., Tuesday March 6, 2018 at Smith-North Little Rock Funeral Home.
