Dewey James Carson

DEWEY JAMES CARSON, 70 of Jacksonville passed from this life on March 6, 2018. He was born August 31, 1947 in North Little Rock, Arkansas to George S. Carson Sr. and Adirene Jolly Carson. Mr. Carson was a Veteran of the United States Army. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by brothers George Carson Jr., Eddie Carson and sister Grace Napier. Survivors include his wife, Ruthie Carson, children Sean Carson (Shelley) of San Antonio, Texas, Seanna Highman (Stuart) of Stallings, N.C., Julie Carpenter (Matthew) of Little Rock and James Riley of Jacksonville. Other survivors include siblings Pat Staubli of Ramona, Calif., Tommy Carson (Grace) of Warrington, Va., Menette Pacheco (Julian) of Jacksonville, grandchildren Destiny Carson, Daniel Carson, Courtney Carson, Colin Carson, Adelyn Carson, Ashtyn Carson, Alexis Broadwater, Christian Koger, Eli Carpenter and Kellan Riley along with a host of extended family and friends. Memorial services will be at 10am, Monday, March 12, 2018 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home with Pastor James King and Pastor John Wimberly officiating.
