LILLIAN OWENS, age 94, of Little Rock, passed away Friday, March 9, 2018. She was born September 11, 1923 in Alma, Texas to HF and Ida Bell Campbell (deceased). Lillian was the youngest of the "Campbell Sisters", as they were known to friends. Ruby Ray Hines (Robert), Juanita Whitehead (Raymond) and Mavis Cobb (Rollen), all preceded her in death, but she loved to tell stories about her sisters. On January 1, 1943, Lillian married her high school sweetheart, William (Buddy) Owens. They were a very devoted couple and had a loving marriage for 68 years. Buddy preceded her in death on December 28, 2011. Lillian was a writer. She did instructional writing for the BMA of America and authored a book, "Through the Valley, in 1986. She was very active in Women's and Young Ladies Ministry at Temple Baptist Church since the early 1950's. She is survived by nephews, Gary Cobb (Jan) and Steve Cross (Donna deceased), nieces; Cynthia Cobb Cole and Melanie Cobb Taylor (Steve), several great nephews and nieces and a number of great-great nephews and nieces. Funeral services will be at 11:30 A.M., Wednesday, March 14, 2018 at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home Chapel, 13801 Chenal Parkway, Little Rock, Arkansas, 72211.
