Jack Walton Ray, 95, of Malvern, passed away on March 12, 2018. He was born on September 5, 1922 in Broken Bow, Oklahoma to the late William Robert Ray and Lula May Marshall Ray. Jack was a Jehovah's Witness, served during World War II in the United States Army, Battery 373 Anti Aircraft Artillary Battalion and retired from the Baroid Plant. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, Audrey Elizabeth Jones Ray, brothers, John Frank Ray and Willie Ray, sisters, Mary Burch, Jessie Glover, Livitia Glover, Lola Potter, Agnes Crookham and Dora Auld. Jack is survived by his son, Jack W. Ray, Jr. of Glen Rose, daughter, Debra Ann Baxter of Glen Rose, sisters, Robbie Nell Auld and Ida Lee Duplissy, three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Clayton Ray, Roy Ray, Austin Ray, Eric Potter, Clyde Crookham, Bryan Sikes and Duffy Barr. Honorary Pallbearers, Barry Potter, Johnny Ray and James Ray. Chapel services by Ashby Funeral Home will be 2 p.m. on Thursday with burial to follow at Fairplay Cemetery.
