Carroll Wayne Jones

Carroll Wayne Jones, age 77, of Willisville, Ark., passed away Thursday, March 15, 2018 at his home. Carroll was born on August 22, 1940 in Lamesa, Texas. He was a member of the Willisville United Methodist Church. While living in Little Rock, Carroll worked for the U.S. Department of Labor as an OSHA compliance officer. In 1989 he moved to Willisville and worked as safety director at Alumax in Magnolia. Carroll was preceded in death by his wife of 57 years, Garry Ann, his parents, JP and Cleo Jones, his sister, Doris Jo Tunnell and her husband Glenn, a nephew, Keith Tunnnell formerly of Bryan Texas. He is survived by daughters, Cindy Huffer of Bryant, Ark. and Christy Burney and husband Jack of Willisville Ark.; son, Wayne Jones of Pittsburg, Texas and grandchildren, Jennifer Baker and husband Andrew of North Little Rock, Jarrod Huffer, of Bryant, Hunter Tunnell and Landree Jones of Texas, Hayley Bradford and husband Jordan from California, and Jackson Burney from Fayetteville. Graveside services will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, March 17, 2018 at the Willisville Cemetery with Jerry Westmoreland officiating under the direction of Lewis Funeral Home, Inc. in Magnolia. Visitation will be held Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home. The family requests memorial donations to be made to the American Cancer Society at www.cancer.org.
