Patricia Kathleen Anne Quin, 89, of Springdale, Arkansas, beloved wife, mother, sister, aunt, great-aunt, grandma and great-grandmother, passed away, peacefully at her home on March 16, 2018. Patricia "Pat" was born in Chicago, Ill. on September 30, 1928, but her home was Hamden, Conn. She is predeceased by her husband, James (Jim) Leroy Quin, step-father, Peter Mikkelson Clarlund von Klargaard, mother, Catherine Frances Street von Klargaard and beloved aunt, Phyllis Louise Street. She is survived by her two sons, David Colin Quin, and his wife, Sheri Mauldin Quin, of Springdale, Ark.; and Robert Pierre Quin, and his wife Velma Quin, of Joplin, Mo. She has three daughters, Deborah Anne Quin Bellante of Springdale, Ark., Catherine Quin Battaglia, of Bella Vista, Ark., and Cynthia Phyllis Quin Roberts and her husband, James Roberts, of Largo, Fla. She is also survived by one brother, Peter Erik von Klargaard, and two sisters, Joyce Maren Louise Friedman and Catherine Kristine Lois Baustert, 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. Patricia was a veteran's wife and amazing mother. She and her husband, Jim, were also missionaries with New Tribes Mission (now Ethnos 360) first in Bogota, Colombia, and then New Tribes Bible Institute at Waukesha, Wis. She was such a gracious person, full of wisdom, love and with a servant's heart. A co-worker, from Colombia, said the following, "Please tell your mother that her life spent for the Lord encouraged me to do the same." Proverbs 31 described her – she was a virtuous woman. Patricia was a member of Gospel Light Baptist Church, in Rogers, Ark. She was saved after listening to broadcasts by Donald J. Barnhouse and reading his book on Romans. That remained her favorite book of the Bible. She loved telling how she was baptized in a small village chapel, in France, and her witnesses were French Christian Gypsies. Patricia loved her Lord and her family. The family would like to express their sincere gratitude, to Circle of Life, for their loving care and dedication, through their mother's last months. In lieu of flowers, Patricia requested that any gifts be split between Disabled American Veteran's Auxiliary, Dr. Gannon #3, of which she was an active member, and the Fayetteville V.A. Hospital Palliative Care Unit who cared for her husband during his last week of life. Checks can be sent to DAVA secretary/treasurer Sheri Quin, at 2070 Pine Woods Dr, Springdale, Ark. 72762. She can be contacted at 479-871-2120. A memorial will be held at Gospel Light Baptist Church, 1001 W. Price Ln, Rogers, Ark. 72758 on Thursday, March 22, 2018, beginning at 11 a.m. Please visit Patricia's memorial page at www.WestfieldChapel.com.
