Floyd Rippond Sr.

Floyd Rippond Sr., 87, of Little Rock, passed March 18, 2018. He was born May 16, 1930 to the late John Rippond and Mattie Woodard. He served in the Korean War in the U.S Army as a staff sergeant. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Ruby Rippond; brother, John Lee, and sister, Myrtle Atkins. Survivors: son, Floyd Rippond Jr. (Melvie) of North Little Rock; daughter, Mattie Rippond of Little Rock; grandchildren, Felicia Mills (Marvin), and Marcus Rippond Sr. both of Conway, Farren Rippond of Little Rock; great-grandchildren; brother, James (Jimmy) Lee of Little Rock; sister, Patricia Patrick of Inglewood, California; a special niece, Ella Nichols; other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends. Funeral service will be Saturday, March 24 at 11 a.m. at Bethel AME Church, North Little Rock, with a visitation one hour prior to service.
