Artis Ray Sapp

Artis Ray Sapp 65, of Little Rock, Ark. gained his wings to glory on March 21, 2018. He was the seventh child of Ervin and Goldie Sapp. He was a beloved classmate of Horace Mann class of 1972, graduated from Hall High School and earned his bachelor's degree from Arkansas Baptist College. He retired from the United States Postal Service after 43 years of service. He also served for the United States Army from 1972-1978. He was the proud husband of the late Beverly Sapp (Lawton) of 42 years. He leaves to cherish his memory: son, Keenan Sapp (Christi); and one grandchild, Zoey Sapp. Viewing will be 2 p.m. until 4 p.m. Friday, March 23, 2018, at Ruffin & Jarrett Funeral Home, 1200 South Chester Street, Little Rock (501) 372-1305. Family hour will be 2 p.m. Monday, March 26, 2018 followed by the funeral service at 3 p.m. at Colonel Glenn Church of Christ, 7001 Colonel Glenn Road, Little Rock, 72204. Repast follows the services at Colonel Glenn Church of Christ. Interment with honors will be Tuesday, March 27, 2018, at 11 a.m. at Arkansas State Veteran's Cemetery, 1501 West Maryland Ave, Sherwood, Ark. 72120.
