Ruby D. Holland

Ruby D. Holland, 89, of Benton, Arkansas, made her entrance into God's presence Saturday, March 24, 2018, at Amberwood Nursing Home, after a lengthy battle with Parkinson's Disease and Dementia. She was born August 20, 1928, in Jenny, Arkansas, the daughter of the late Elmer Edward and Myrtle Annie Lewis Turner. Ruby was a member of Olive Branch Missionary Baptist Church in Pine Bluff, Ark. Ruby was preceded in death by her husband of forty-three years, Hardin Holland on her 64th Birthday, August 20, 1992. She is also preceded by in death by her sister: Marie Skowronski, Eunice Parrott and Margaret York; two brothers: Joe and John Turner. She is survived by her son: Eddie Holland and wife Karen of Antioch; one daughter: Sandra Sharp and husband Stan of Benton; grandsons: Andrew Holland and wife Traci and Bryan Holland all of Cabot; granddaughters: Marcy Fason and Amy Waychoff and husband Tim of Benton; one great-grandson: Austin Fason; two great-granddaughters: Alyssa Fason and Katelyn Waychoff; one brother: Jacob Turner of Naples, Fla., and many nieces and nephews who loved her and will miss her greatly. Visitation will be held Monday from 12:00-1:00 PM at Smith-Benton Funeral Home, with funeral services directly following with Dr. Terry B. Parrish officiating. A private family burial will take place at Dark Corner Cemetery in Gould, Ark.
