John E Vernon

John E. Vernon, 75, of Conway, Ark., peacefully joined the angels on March 16, 2018. He was born on October 15, 1942 in Friendship, Tenn., to the late Howard and Faye Vernon. John worked as a driving instructor for Schneider National and was an awarded 3-million-mile safe driver. He leaves behind his best friend and wife, Peggy (Cook) Vernon; sons, Shane Vernon (Paula), Clint Vernon (Sarah), Tim Cook (Bettie); grandchildren, Samantha Cook, Seth, Kyle and Kinsey Vernon, Makayla and Paul Hance; sister, Pam Joyner; a host of nieces, nephews, other family, and friends; and his dog Scooter. In lieu of flowers, please make donations to the Conway Senior Wellness and Activities Center, 705 Siebenmorgen Rd, Conway, Ark. 72032.
