Audrey Davis (Nanny), age 94 of Jacksonville, passed away on Friday, March 23, 2018. She was born on May 7, 1923, in Baltimore, Md., to the late Carlton Wright and Loretta Hart-Wright. Audrey moved happily with her late husband of 50 years, Wallace Davis, wherever the United States Air Force had sent them during his 20 years of service. She worked in retail sales until she retired. After her retirement, Audrey began volunteering at North Metro Medical Center until she was 89 years old, when a broken hip stopped her from volunteering any longer. She never met a stranger, so volunteering at North Metro Medical Center was perfect for her and she loved it dearly, proudly volunteering over six thousand hours. She loved her family and they loved her; she always wanted to be close by and will be missed by many friends and family. She is survived by her children Wally Davis (Phyllis) of Little Rock, Ark., Les Davis of Irving, Texas, Travis Davis (Martina) of Allen, Texas, Kathy Steele of California, and Kenny Steele of California; her grandchildren Sean Davis (Kristin), Justin Davis (Brandi), Kandyce Deweese (Jeremy), Amanda Felan (Anthony), Brittany Gill (Jon) and PFC Tyler Davis; and 12 great-grandchildren. Graveside services will be held on Friday, March 30, 2018 at 1 p.m. at the Arkansas Veterans Cemetery in North Little Rock. Visitation will be held at 11 a.m. Friday in the Chapel at A Natural State Funeral Service, 2620 W. Main Street in Jacksonville. Audrey's online guestbook is available at www.anaturalstatefuneralservice.com.
