Ramona (Mickelson) Pangle, 81, of Searcy, passed away on March 24, 2018. She was born to the late Raymond and Alice Mickelson on March 26, 1936 in Lamoni, Iowa. She met Noel (Cotton) Pangle in Kansas City, and they were married for 31 years until he preceded her in death in 1987. Ramona began her career at the Peoples Bank of Mountain Home; she later went to work for the Flippin School District, where she retired as District Treasurer after 23 years of service. She will long be remembered for serving Christ through First Baptist Church in Flippin, and if the doors were open, she was there. She enjoyed teaching Sunday School, Vacation Bible School, and was the church organist. In her later years, she continued to enjoy volunteering with the children at Trinity Baptist Church in Searcy, at the hospital, and Liberty Christian School. However, her grandchildren were the highlight of her life. She always had a plate of chocolate chip cookies waiting for them. She was preceded in death by her first grandchild Kelsey Gadberry in 2006. During her 18 years, Kelsey and Mo (Ramona) had a lot of happy times together and made lasting memories. Ramona is survived by two daughters, Pam Gadberry (Jay) of Little Rock, and Pat Bisbee (Charlie) of Searcy; three grandchildren, Kathryn Gadberry, Alex Gadberry, and Evan Bisbee; one sister, Judith Hutchcroft; and a brother, Roger Mickelson. She was also preceded in death by her sister, Jane McCullough. Visitation will be Thursday, March 29, 2018, at Roller Daniel Funeral Home, Searcy from 6-8 p.m. Funeral will be at First Baptist Church, Flippin, Arkansas, on March 30, 2018 at 11 a.m. There will be a visitation starting at 10:30 until service time. The First Baptist deacons will serve as pallbearers. Interment will be at Flippin Cemetery in Flippin, Ark., following the service. Online guestbook: rollerfuneralhomes.com/Searcy.
