Thomas Fredrick Causey, 85, of Jacksonville passed from this life on Saturday, April 28, 2018 at his home, surrounded by his loving family. He was born Saturday, April 30, 1932 in Warren, Arkansas to the late Mitchell Robert and Anna Grace Greene Causey. Mr. Causey served for many years as a deacon at Landmark Baptist Church before joining First Baptist Church in Jacksonville where he was currently a member. He enjoyed fishing, going camping, and listening to Bluegrass music, but he found his greatest joy in his family and his faith. He was a hard working and gentle man who proudly served his country in the Air Force, Army and Army National Guard. He also spent many years as an educator serving as a Principal, Counselor, Bus Driver or any other capacity he could find. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Causey. Survivors include his best friend and wife of 65 years, Lois Janette Causey; children, Thomas "Jay" (Christi) Causey of Cabot, Melissa (Ron) Echols of West Palm Beach, Florida, Melanie Bouwknegt of Cabot, Michelle (Joseph) Johnston of Jacksonville; grandchildren, Kristy, Jonathon, Cassie, Mitchell, Nick, Mikey, Kristin, Candace, Kathryn, Jonathan, Kyle, Greyson, Jessica and Amber. Other survivors include 17 great-grandchildren and a host of other family and friends. Funeral services will be 11 a.m., Friday, May 4, 2018 at Moore's Jacksonville Funeral Home with Brothers Cliff Hutchens and Ben Leonard officiating. Interment will follow at the Arkansas State Veterans Cemetery with military honors. Visitation will be 9-11 a.m., Friday, May 4, 2018 at the funeral home.
