On May 06, 2018, Eric Clark, aged 26, died from a drug overdose. Eric is survived by his mother, Judy Clark, twin brother, Ryan Clark, sister, Tamera Deaver, brother-in-law, Dr. Jeffrey Deaver, fiancé Sydney Scarborough, his brothers-from-other-mothers, Zachary Roberts and Sam Walls, and the friend who was always there for him, Dale Peeks. The smallest broken heart Eric left is that of his 10 year old nephew, Trent Deaver; they were each other's best friend. Visitation will be Saturday, May 12, 2018 at 4 p.m. at Smith-North Little Rock Funeral Home followed by a Memorial service at 5 p.m. In lieu of flowers Eric's family asks that donations be made in his name to the Exodus Project, 3700 A West 65th St., Little Rock, Ark. 72209. Online guestbook at www.smithfamilycares.com. Eric was witty as hell, could make anyone laugh, and was an absolute joy to be around. He could also kick your ass at spades. He also appreciates that his family and friends both worked profanities into his obituary and recognized him as the ultimate spade master. As a baby Eric carried a stuffed bunny rabbit he named "baby new." He also loved panda bears; his favorite one, Ya Ya, lives at the Memphis Zoo. He and his sister played "the hashtag game," which is a game he totally invented wherein each player would take turns having a text message conversation in nothing but hashtags. The player with the last hashtag of a conversation thread was the winner, at least for that round. No one who loves Eric can put their heartache into words. We can only say that our hearts followed Eric into that coroner van. He himself, in letters sent to his family, was the only one who could explain the hell and the pain of drug addiction; "I owe my family the universe, but I can't even give them a few stars. Heroin is an epidemic and I'm so sorry to be a part of it." We're sorry too, Eric. We're just so sorry. You were among the brightest stars in our universe. And we couldn't have asked for more. #ImSoSorryEric #ILoveYouMore #IWasntSupposedToHaveTheLastHashTag
